Transparent government
One of my objectives as mayor is to make more information readily available to the public. We are public servants, providing service to the community with their money. Residents deserve clear, transparent answers about how their money is being used.
Independent, Informed Leadership
No rubber-stamp votes. I will do my homework, ask the necessary questions, and evaluate every issue on its merits before casting my vote. Residents deserve representatives who challenge assumptions, demand answers, and put Berkeley Heights first.
Reliable Power & Utilities
Take recurring power outages seriously and work proactively with JCP&L to address hazardous trees, aging equipment, and other causes of repeated outages. Develop a long-term infrastructure strategy, including evaluating where burying power lines may be practical and cost-effective.
Strong Advocacy for Residents
Whether a problem involves the county, a utility company, or another outside agency, Berkeley Heights residents deserve strong local representation. Our town should actively advocate for residents and work persistently with these organizations to get problems resolved.
Proactive Planning
Coordinate with water and utility companies to anticipate future infrastructure work and reduce repeated road excavation. When residents report a problem, it should be tracked, addressed, and answered—not simply filed away.
Personal story
Committed to keeping Berkeley Heights a great place to call home.
I have lived in Berkeley Heights for 21 years and have seen many changes. It is a safe, family-friendly town and a wonderful place to raise children. I want to preserve that character for the people who live here, value it, and have invested in their homes.
I am at a stage in life where I can serve my community responsibly. I am not beholden to special interests. I raised my daughter here, and I want Berkeley Heights to remain a place where other young families can do the same.
Today, I drive a school bus in Berkeley Heights. I am also an NCAA volleyball referee and a part-time ski instructor at Killington, Vermont. My professional background includes an 18-year career as a foreign-exchange broker in New York City, followed by 20 years as an independent trader. I have also worked as a personal trainer and am a licensed Realtor here in Berkeley Heights.
Outside of work, I am an amateur writer, an avid skier, and someone who follows politics closely as a personal interest. Above all, my priority is being a good father to my 19-year-old daughter, now a sophomore in college.
